General Director of Rosseti Centre Igor Makovskiy chaired a meeting of the special operational Headquarters to improve the security of the energy complex and counter new threats.
The head of the energy company emphasized that the nature and horizon of external influences has changed significantly. Power engineers need not only to increase their preparedness for emergency situations, but also to expand the methods and means of the anti-terrorist fight. Proposals from heads of cross-border branches, the security unit, as well as the IT department on additional means of protecting energy infrastructure and personnel were heard.
The Headquarters decided to introduce the proposed protective measures, upgrade equipment and strengthen measures to ensure the safety of the company’s employees.
“The increased level of external influences requires the power engineers to be more prepared and make additional decisions to ensure safety. It is the unconditional, clear and complete implementation of all developed measures that helps preserve the life and health of employees and the reliability of power supply to consumers - this is our main priority. I thank the branch managers and our staff, who, in difficult conditions and at the risk of their lives, continue to courageously and steadfastly carry out their work every day”, said Igor Makovskiy.
