Preliminary results of IDGC of Centre’s activity for electricity transmission in 2016

09.02.2017

IDGC of Centre, JSC summed up the preliminary results of work on electricity transmission in 2016. Revenues for electricity transmission services amounted to 83.6 billion rubles. The revenue growth was 7.6% compared to the same period last year. The revenue indicator accounted for the volume of services on transmission of electric energy on the territory of the "pick-up" of functions of a supplier of last resort in the Tver region from 01.12.2016. Regarding the planned value the revenue was 0.9% higher.

According to recent reports, the volume of electricity transmission services increased by 2.5% in the past year, and amounted to 56.177 million kWh. The increase in transmission services in the regions of the service area of IDGC of Centre is connected with growth in electricity consumption of enterprises of mining and metallurgical and agro-industrial sectors of Russia.

Following the results of 2016 the level of losses in electric grids was 9.36%, which is 0.02 percentage points below the planned target set in the business plan. Compared with 2015 the losses decreased by 0.07 percentage points (under comparable conditions). The greatest effect to reduce the losses was given by measures to detect non-metered electricity consumption, redistribution of loads and switching off unloaded transformers at substations, installation of a larger wire section on overloaded power lines and installation of self-supporting insulated wire on lines.

The preliminary operating results for the electricity transmission for 2016 indicate the achievement of previously planned values and confirm the company’s focus on improving its efficiency.
