The branch of Rosseti Centre - Voronezhenergo has consolidated municipal electric grid assets in seven districts of the Voronezh region. The networks of municipal enterprises in Bobrov, Borisoglebsk, Buturlinovka, Novovoronezh, Ostrogozhsk, Pavlovsk and Rossosh were transferred to the company, which increased its share in the electricity transmission services market in the region by 8.3%, to 95.6%.
A new Distribution Zone was created in Novovoronezh based on the transferred capacities. It services more than 145 km of power transmission lines (0.4 kV) and 107 transformer substations. The Distribution Zone provides reliable power supply for the city’s population of 30.7 thousand people. In the remaining districts, the transferred power grid assets are included in the existing divisions of the branch.
Thanks to the consolidation, the total number of the branch’s Distribution Zones increased to 33. At the same time, Rosseti Centre, as the largest grid company in the region, has strengthened its ability to ensure prompt elimination of emergency situations, including servicing power facilities with an unidentified owner.
Since 2025, Voronezhenergo has received the status of a systemically important grid organization.
Reference: The STGO status is assigned to one of the regional territorial grid organizations based on the results of an assessment of compliance with the criteria approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. The powers of the STGO include organizing operation of power grid facilities that do not have an owner, operation, reconstruction and technical re-equipment of facilities, the rights to which are transferred to the STGO under an agreement and elimination, based on decisions of the regional headquarters, of consequences of emergency situations at facilities serviced by other regional territorial grid organizations.
Reducing the degree of fragmentation of territorial grid organizations by identifying a systemically important organization is intended to improve the quality and reliability of electricity supply to consumers, regardless of which organization provides them with electricity transmission services.
