Power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region are preparing to work in conditions of impending bad weather

12 February 2024 According to the Hydrometeorological Centre, on 13 and 14 February in the Belgorod, Vladimir, Voronezh, Kursk, Smolensk, Kaluga, Tambov, Tula and Lipetsk regions, the meteorological situation is expected to deteriorate, accompanied by zero crossings, wind, freezing rain, sleet and ice conditions.

On behalf of General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, Igor Makovskiy, branches in whose territory dangerous weather events are expected must already carry out the first preparatory stage: assemble operational Headquarters, exercise enhanced control over the situation in the region, even in the absence of significant outages - carefully monitor residents’ requests. Personnel are mobilized in advance and ready to carry out the necessary restoration work.

At the moment, 10 Rosseti Centre’s crews are taking part in eliminating the consequences of the disaster in the Rostov region.

“Planned preparation for emergency situations, extensive experience in eliminating consequences of abnormal weather events, well-established logistics and proven information exchange schemes allow power engineers to quickly direct all the necessary forces and means to combat technological violations and minimize their consequences for consumers. If unfavourable forecasts are confirmed, we are already prepared in advance to meet the bad weather”, emphasized Igor Makovskiy.
