21 May 2025

Yaroslavl Region Governor Mikhail Evraev held a working meeting with Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC. The parties discussed the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the regional government and the power grid company, as well as performance indicators in terms of grid connection of all consumer groups.

The agreement, signed in 2019 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, is aimed at developing the power grid complex of the Yaroslavl region. The parties summed up the results of five years of work and discussed plans for the future.

In particular, the branch of Rosseti Centre - Yarenergo reconstructed more than 749 km of 0.4-10 kV power transmission lines and 467 transformer substations from 2019 to 2024. The implemented measures made it possible to increase the reliability of power supply in 771 settlements of the Yaroslavl region, where almost 190 thousand people live.

The reconstruction of 10-0.4 kV electrical networks is planned for 2025, which will improve the reliability and quality of power supply in 317 settlements of the region. It is envisaged to upgrade 135 kilometres of power lines and 11 transformer substations.

In terms of work on grid connection, the Yarenergo branch annually concludes more than 5 thousand contracts. By the end of 2024, contracts for grid connection of 26 socially significant facilities under the control of the Yaroslavl Region Administration were fulfilled. Among them are 7 schools, 2 medical buildings, treatment facilities and artesian wells, as well as libraries and sports facilities.

“Stable energy supply is a condition for business development, attracting investment and ensuring the operation of social institutions. Together with Rosseti Centre, we solve problems that directly affect the quality of life of citizens. We see how the reliability of energy supply is improving, new opportunities for development are emerging,” stressed Mikhail Evraev.

“The Yaroslavl region is a strategically important region for us. Over the years of the agreement, we have achieved tangible results and see potential for further development. Our focus is on the quality and reliability of electricity supply, digitalization and openness to consumer demands,” emphasized Boris Ebzeev.
