Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region have named the best student energy teams for 2026

17 August 2026

The first in-person round of the “Best Student Team of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region” competition took place in Kirov. This marked the conclusion of the work semester for future power engineers.

More than 100 students from 20 regions where the energy companies operate participated in the competition. Over the course of two days, the participants demonstrated their professional skills, creativity, and teamwork.

The opening ceremony was attended by Kirill Yutkin, Deputy General Director for Special Projects at Rosseti Centre, Mikhail Sandalov, Chairman of the Kirov Region Government, Vladimir Kolesnikov, Director of the Kirovenergo branch, Alexander Fedorov, Minister of Energy and Housing and Utilities of the Kirov Region, and Valentin Pugach, Rector of Vyatka State University.

A significant event of the program was a business meeting between Kirill Yutkin and the team leaders, where they discussed attracting and retaining young people in the electric grid industry.

The professional skills assessment program included four stages: testing theoretical knowledge, preparing the crew’s workstation, replacing an electricity meter, and providing first aid to an electric shock victim.

Based on the results of all the tests, the best student energy teams were:

  • among Rosseti Centre’s teams — “Synergy 32” (Bryanskenergo);
  • among Rosseti Centre and Volga region’s teams — “Anchor” (Kirovenergo).

The titles of best commanders were awarded to Polina Kosinova (Kurskenergo, “Warriors of Light” team) and Nikita Lukyanov (Tulenergo, “Energetik” team).

As part of the competition’s business program, HR specialists, representatives from specialized universities and colleges, corporate training centres, and fuel and energy companies in the Kirov region discussed practices for attracting young people to the electric power industry, training students professionally, organizing mentoring, and building a talent pool.

“Today, the industry needs young, proactive, and responsible professionals ready to master modern technologies, solve complex production problems, and participate in the development of the country’s electric grids. That’s why we place great emphasis on working with student teams, supporting talented young people, and creating conditions for the professional growth of future power engineers,” stressed Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC — the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC.
