In the Vladimir region, the professional skills competitions of employees of electricity metering departments of Distribution Zones of branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, ended. The best teams from 20 branches of both companies fought for the victory at the training centre of the production department "Vladimirsky Distribution Zone" of the Vladimirenergo branch of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region in Suzdal.
The program of the competitions included four stages. During the first the participants were required to perform an instrumental check of a measuring unit with a three-phase smart meter in conditions as close to reality as possible (under voltage). At the second, the practical skills of the power engineers for troubleshooting in previously installed customers’ metering devices and installation of a single-phase smart electricity meter of a grid company on the facade of a building were assessed. The common theme of two more stages was the problem of identifying theft. At the third, the theoretical stage the teams passed testing, the fourth - testing practical knowledge and skills to identify non-metered electricity consumption, which took place in real conditions: the participants were asked to check meters of consumers living in Suzdalsky district.
Belgorodenergo was represented by the team of Gubkinsky Distribution Zone. With the sum of all the stages, it scored 720 points out of 745 possible and became the first, having received the main prize of the competitions - a new crew UAZ car. The second was Smolenskenergo’s team with a score of 682.5 points. Representatives of Kirovenergo, who scored 674.2 points, closed the top three winners.
Summing up the results of the competitions, Deputy General Director for Sale and Development of Services of IDGC of Centre - managing company of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Evgeniya Kabanova stressed the importance of holding such events and expressed her hope that all the best practices and solutions that the teams of 20 regions of the country demonstrated for three days, will be used by specialists in their future work.
The competitions of professional skills of workers of electricity metering departments of Distribution Zones have been held for the second year in a row with the goal of increasing the professional training of personnel. They allow to assess the level of each participant and a branch as a whole, exchange experience, identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the work.
