On 21 April, IDGC of Centre awarded winners and prize-winners of the first qualifying stage of the All-Russian Olympiad "Rosseti". Within the framework of the solemn event, participants were also given tasks for the second final stage of the intellectual competition.
More than 531 participants from more than 178 localities of 11 regions of Russia risked to test themselves, to check the knowledge gained in the school in physics, mathematics and computer science. The first stage of the Olympiad was held on the territory of the electric grid company’s service area in the period from 31 March to 1 April 2018.
The regional jury determined the winners and prize-winners of the first stage of the Olympiad in terms of the sum of points received by each participant for performing tasks in three subjects: physics, mathematics and computer science. As a result, the prize-winners of the Olympiad were 35 people, and the winners, who took the first place, were 18 students.
All the children got the opportunity to participate in the second and final stage of the Olympiad, which will be held in absentia by carrying out complex tasks (cases) aimed at testing the creative abilities and ability to apply the available knowledge in relevant subjects in the course of solving applied problems in the field of electric power.
