The new school year has begun at branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region as part of the Rosseti Group’s educational project – “Energy circles”.
The project is aimed at providing career guidance to students in grades 7–11 and in-depth study of physics. Its main goal is to develop a promising talent pool for the industry, comprised of motivated and talented students interested in professional self-fulfillment.
In addition to in-depth physics study and exam preparation, the curriculum includes energy conservation lessons and participation in the Rosseti Olympiad. The career guidance program includes tours of energy facilities, meetings with experts, professional trials, participation in competitions, and work at the company’s training centres.
44 energy circles are opening in 20 regions where the companies operate, double the number from the previous year. Around 800 schoolchildren are enrolled in the programs, led by over 30 teachers. Most of the teachers have completed training and advanced training at the country’s leading industry university – the National Research University Moscow Power Engineering Institute.
Hundreds of activities are planned for the students, including excursions, electrical safety lessons, lectures, master classes, quests, quizzes, and competitions.
Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC, emphasized the project’s importance in the companies’ HR policies: “Energy circles are a comprehensive system that fosters students’ interest in engineering professions, introducing them to modern technologies and industry culture. For us, this is an important tool for training future specialists. The sooner the students can see the real prospects of working in the energy sector, the more confident they will be in choosing a profession that supports the life and development of entire regions.”
