Development of the regional electric grid complex was discussed in Voronezh

13 February 2025

Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev held a working meeting with Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC, where key issues of the development of the region’s electric grid complex were discussed.

The parties assessed the operational situation and the passage of the Voronezhenergo branch through the peak load season. Full implementation of equipment maintenance and repair measures allowed the branch to reduce the number of technological violations in 6-110 kV grids from November to January by 15% compared to last year.

Boris Ebzeev noted that due to the special operating mode in the region, the company pays increased attention to protection of personnel and electric grid facilities. In 2024, the number of cases of third-party impact on energy facilities increased by 122%, and the number of fire incidents increased 6 times. In this regard, Rosseti Centre allocated additional funds for measures to protect facilities and employees.

Another significant issue was the consolidation of the region’s power grid assets. By the decision of the governor, Rosseti Centre was designated as the system-forming territorial grid organization (STGO) of the subject. The list of municipal and regional power grid facilities subject to transfer to the STGO has been 100% approved. By the end of 2024, 19,700 conventional units had already been transferred to the company’s management, and in 2025, the share of consolidation will exceed 94%.

“We appreciate the efforts of Rosseti Centre to ensure uninterrupted power supply, which is the key and important component of a comfortable life and stable economic development. We are grateful to our colleagues for their systematic work on modernizing the grid infrastructure and are ready to support them in this direction”, said Alexander Gusev.

“We are consistently implementing the program for the technical development of the power grid complex of the Voronezh region. “Reducing faults, protecting personnel and facilities, and consolidating networks are priority areas that will improve the reliability of energy supply and the quality of services for residents and businesses in the region”, emphasized Boris Ebzeev.
