On behalf of General Director of the Companies, Igor Makovskiy, as part of the implementation of the “Year of Physical Culture and Sports” program, cross-country skiing competitions were held in Izhevsk. More than 80 athletes from 20 regions of the country took part in the vibrant sporting event.
The honorary guests of the event were four-time Olympic champion in skiing, five-time world champion Galina Kulakova and three-time Olympic champion, world champion Maxim Vylegzhanin.
“Sports, including skiing, have united people of different ages and professions for many years. Today, at this sports festival, we will sincerely root for everyone. I wish all the skiers excellent gliding, and the fans - bright impressions,” Galina Kulakova congratulated the audience.
According to the results of the competition among women, the first were Liliya Pereturina from Udmurtenergo and Ekaterina Bekhtereva from Kirovenergo. Among men, the best results were shown by Sergey Lisitsyn from Ivenergo and Mikhail Gerasimov from Kostromaenergo. In the most spectacular discipline of the competition - the team relay - the Kirovenergo team won gold, Ivenergo took second place, and Kostromaenergo took third place. The places in the overall team competition were distributed in the same way.
