General Director of Rosseti Centre Igor Makovskiy held an operational meeting. Among production issues, the new law on systemically important territorial grid organizations (STGO), which will come into force on 1 September of this year, was discussed - the corresponding document was signed the day before by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The head of the energy company noted that this law is a logical, systematic step in the development of the energy industry. The principle of a uniform structure in the electric grid complex will make it possible to provide citizens with electricity at a high level through the application of general management principles and the requirements of technical and operational policies. All this together will help respond to the growing demands of the regional economy and implement large infrastructure projects.
Igor Makovskiy instructed to hold strategic sessions in all branches of the company on this topic to inform specialists about upcoming changes in work. The first event will take place within the framework of the company’s Board in Ivanovo.
“The signing of this Federal Law places great responsibility on all power grid organizations. Rosseti Centre has the necessary resource potential, competencies and enormous experience and already has the status of STGO in several regions. I am convinced that the formation of a single centre of responsibility will have a positive impact on ensuring reliable and high-quality energy supply to consumers and the efficiency of the energy infrastructure”, noted Igor Makovskiy.
