Igor Makovskiy and Alexander Brechalov commissioned a multifunctional information technology centre in the Udmurt Republic

15 February 2024 General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region Igor Makovskiy and Head of the Udmurt Republic Alexander Brechalov launched the work of a modern high-tech centre for managing electric grids of Udmurtenergo in Izhevsk. At the same time, a similar facility at Kirovenergo was put into operation via video conferencing.

All automated and software systems used are domestic developments. Using digital communication channels, dispatchers can monitor the state of the regional power grid infrastructure in real time, quickly respond to equipment malfunctions, and coordinate the work of first responding and repair crews.

The creation of such centres takes management to a qualitatively new level - all competencies for managing the main and distribution grids of each region will be concentrated at one point, which will ensure remote management of 449 substations, more than 16 thousand electrical distribution installations and 70 thousand kilometres of power lines in two regions.

“The implementation of this project is an event not only for power engineers, but also for all residents of Udmurtia. Thanks to a high level of automation, the safety and reliability of power supply will increase. It is important that domestic technologies are used in the work of the centres, which also strengthens our energy security and guarantees the independence of economic development in the conditions of foreign economic sanctions”, noted Alexander Brechalov.

“The use of modern high-tech developments is a significant step in the development of the electric grid complex. They allow power engineers to systematically improve the efficiency of infrastructure management and the level of services provided, and therefore ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to more than 2.7 million residents of Udmurtia and the Kirov region. This is our contribution to improving the quality of life of citizens”, said Igor Makovskiy.
