Igor Makovskiy opened the VIII hockey tournament of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region

Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC, launched the VIII hockey tournament between the teams of the Companies dedicated to the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Valery Sherin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Tula Region, took part in the opening ceremony. The honorary guest of the event was the two-time Olympic champion, five-time world champion, Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR Alexei Kasatonov.

On the ice arena, the teams of nine branches and the team of the trade union organization of Rosseti Centre will fight for the main prize - the Cup of the tournament - for three days. In total, more than 200 people will go to the ice. The teams, according to the draw, are divided into groups, after the games in which the two strongest participants will fight in the final on 29 April.

“Hockey has always united people of different ages and professions. Today, at this sports festival, we will sincerely cheer for each team. I wish a brilliant game to all participants of the tournament, and bright impressions to the fans,” Alexei Kasatonov congratulated the audience.
“Sports competitions make our life brighter, more interesting, more beautiful. Combining training and hard work in the energy industry, you set a wonderful example for millions of other people, demonstrating excellent physical fitness, teamwork, a desire to achieve high results and brilliant victories,” strrssed Valery Sherin.
“The tournament, which has already become a good tradition for us, provides an opportunity for many talented employees who are passionate about hockey to prove themselves, to meet representatives of other regions, and to communicate in an informal setting. Hockey, like energy, requires cohesion, mutual assistance, teamwork, because without them it is impossible to achieve either the goals set or high results, both in sports and in our work,” Igor Makovskiy emphasized.
