Head of the Republic of Mari El thanked Igor Makovskiy for his help in extinguishing large forest fires

On the initiative of the head of the energy companies Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, a special operating mode was introduced in Marienergo in connection with the unprecedented forest fires that raged on the territory of the Republic of Mari El at the end of this summer.

A round-the-clock duty of responsible persons was organized in the branch, 63 emergency and recovery crews of 232 people with 91 vehicles were put in readiness.

Socially important structures and infrastructure facilities were under the special control of power engineers. In all Distribution Zones of the Republic, extraordinary checks of equipment of the power grid complex were carried out, control over the operability of power facilities was strengthened, and continuous monitoring of the meteorological situation was performed. Also, the employees of Marienergo promptly provided assistance to firefighters and rescuers who fought the fire in the forests on the Kokshaysky tract.

I would like to thank the employees of the Marienergo branch of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC for their dedication, conscientious attitude to responsibilities and high professionalism shown in the isolation and elimination of the consequences of the emergency,” stressed Alexander Evstifeev, Head of the Republic of Mari El.

“We took all the necessary measures to ensure the reliable functioning of the power grid complex on the territory of the Republic during the introduction of the emergency regime. In cooperation with the executive authorities, municipalities and the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the power engineers prevented the shutdown of the backbone power transmission lines and, accordingly, the residents of the region,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region.
