Specialists from “Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Nizhnovenergo” have started implementing energy-efficient measures under an energy service contract for the modernization of street lighting in the city of Arzamas of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The power engineers carried out a full survey of the existing street lighting system: they analyzed consumption volumes and determined the level of illumination of city streets.
At the moment, work has begun on dismantling of obsolete lighting fixtures and installation of new energy-efficient street lighting fixtures. To ensure the standard level of illumination of the streets and the roadway, work is additionally carried out to trim tree crowns, as well as to replace defective reinforced concrete poles of overhead power lines.
At the same time, the installation and adjustment of the automatic outdoor lighting control system will be carried out in the near future. This system will allow to move to a qualitatively new level of energy management, reduce energy costs and operating expenses.

Напомним, что «Россети Центр и Приволжье Нижновэнерго» и администрация города Арзамас Нижегородской области заключили энергосервисный контракт по модернизации сети уличного освещения. Энергетики заменят 4,5 тыс. существующих натриевых светильников на энергоэффективные светодиодные и установят 1,5 тыс. дополнительных светильников для доведения освещённости улиц и дорог города до нормативных значений.

Power engineers will replace 4.5 thousand existing sodium lighting fixtures with energy-efficient LED ones and install 1.5 thousand additional lighting fixtures to bring the illumination of city streets and roads up to standard values.
It should be noted that the Arzamassky Distribution Zone is included in the program of digitalization of the region’s energy system and will become the first digital Distribution Zone of the branch “Nizhnovenergo”. The construction of the first digital substation (SS) 110/35/10 kV “Vyyezdnoye” is underway on the territory of the district in the active phase, the modernization of the Arzamas city control centre has been completed.
