Igor Makovskiy: Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region in the first half of the year put into operation about 200 MVA of capacity and 2,000 kilometers of power lines

17 July 2020

Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region continue to implement their investment programs. For 6 months of 2020, power engineers put into operation 1.8 thousand kilometres of power lines and 186.6 MVA of transformer capacity. The volume of investments in these projects amounted to 5.6 billion rubles.

“We are trying to fulfill all our investment obligations as clearly as possible, despite the current epidemiological situation - this is the task set by Director General of Rosseti Pavel Livinskiy. This area of work is an absolute priority for us. The commissioning of new capacities and power grid facilities makes it possible to provide conditions for further dynamic socio-economic development of 20 regions of the country,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.

A number of large and significant projects have already been completed by power engineers or are close to completion. In the Tula region, after reconstruction, the 110 kV overhead lines (Conductors) “Yasnopolyanskaya-Zapadnaya” with a tap to the substation “Lomintsevo” and “Yasnopolyanskaya-KS 9” with a total length of about a kilometre were put into operation. The work was carried out within the framework of a project for reconstruction of high-voltage grids for preparation of a construction site for a new complex for production of ammonia and urea of OJSC Schekinoazot - one of the leaders in production of industrial chemicals and chemical equipment, which is a city-forming enterprise for the city of Schekino with a population of over 57 thousand people. Improving the quality and reliability of power supply to one of the largest chemical enterprises in the region is of great importance for strengthening the investment attractiveness of the Tula region.

In the Balakhninsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region, after reconstruction, the 110 kV power lines Conductor-106 NiGRES - Substation “Oka” and Conductor-107 NiGRES - Substation “Ethylene” were put into operation. The performed work improved the quality and reliability of power supply to socially significant facilities, production sites and summer cottages in the Balakhninsky district, as well as to large consumers - the cardboard factory of OJSC Polygraphkarton and the testing ground of the Gorky Automobile Plant.

In the Voronezh region, work is nearing completion on the creation of the region’s first digital 110 kV “Sputnik” substation, which is being constructed in the Kominternovsky district of the city of Voronezh. The installed capacity of the power centre is 80 MVA. At the moment, the site of the new substation is being landscaped and greened, as well as commissioning work on the equipment is being performed. The commissioning of “Sputnik”, scheduled for late summer 2020, will be an important step towards the implementation of the concept of digital transformation and will improve the quality and reliability of energy supply to consumers in the capital of the Black Soil Region. In the Kaluga Region, design work has been completed, a positive conclusion of the state expertise has been received, and the construction of the 110 kV digital substation “Mikhali” has begun.

Reconstruction and construction of power facilities is being carried out in all 20 regions where Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region are present. Their implementation will contribute to improving the quality and reliability of power supply to industrial and agricultural enterprises, communal and social facilities, and residential consumers.
