Igor Makovskiy: “For the first quarter of 2020, Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region commissioned more than 800 km of power lines and over 120 MVA of transformer capacity”

28 May 2020

Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region continue to contribute to the development of 20 regions of the country. For the first three months of 2020, power engineers commissioned more than 800 km of power lines and over 120 MVA of transformer capacity. The volume of investments in these projects is 1.879 billion rubles.

“Observing all safety measures during the period of restrictive measures, we continue to contribute to the development of the regions and effectively solve the priority tasks for the energy company: to increase the reliability of power supply to existing consumers and connect new ones,” stressed General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy.

Among the major projects that the power engineers have already started is the reconstruction of the 110 kV “Vega” substation with replacement of a power transformer from 16 MVA to 40 MVA in the Kaluga region. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the power engineers have begun constructing the new 110/6 kV “Montazhnaya” substation within the framework of an agreement with the applicant State-owned Federal State Institution “Combine Montazh”. On the territory of the Vladimir region, a new additional section of the overhead power line 10 kV “Trudovik” with a length of 6.5 km is being constructed in the settlement of Aserkhovo in the Sobinsky district. In the Voronezh region, work is underway to create the first in the region digital substation 110 kV “Sputnik”, being built in the Kominternovsky district of the city of Voronezh. Installed capacity of the power centre is 80 MVA. Putting “Sputnik” into operation, scheduled for the end of the summer of 2020, will be an important step towards the implementation of the “Digital Transformation” concept and will improve the quality and reliability of energy supply to consumers in the capital of the Black Soil Region. In the Kaluga region, the development of design documentation for the digital substations 110 kV “University” and “Mikhali” with a total transformer capacity of 44.6 MVA is under completion.

Reconstruction and construction of power facilities is carried out in all 20 regions of presence of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region. The work performed will contribute to improving the quality and reliability of power supply to industrial and agricultural enterprises, utilities and social facilities, and household consumers.
