Igor Makovskiy: in the first quarter Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region connected more than 14 thousand customers to grids

19 May 2020

According to the results of the 1st quarter of 2020, Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region connected 14,523 new customers to power grids: 3,013 legal entities and 11,510 individuals. The total capacity of grid connection agreements executed during the reporting period amounted to 592 MW.

“Despite the difficult external conditions, we reduced the time for grid connection and continue to improve the client services of the companies. We transferred our customer service divisions to a remote service format, expanded online services, and accurately and efficiently carry out work on requests received,” stresses Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.

In total, during the first quarter, branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region received 20,514 applications from customers for grid connection. The largest number of them still falls on preferential customer groups - 98% and 97.5% of the total for Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, respectively. Among the largest customers connected to the grids of the energy company in the first quarter are several agricultural enterprises:

  • in the Tambov region - the new high-tech greenhouse plant “Michurinsky” in the Michurinsky district. As part of the implementation of the grid connection agreement, the power engineers constructed a 10 kV power line with a total length of 11 km and reconstructed equipment at the 110/35/10 kV “Yuzhnaya” substation. The maximum power consumption of the facility will be 2.5 MW, the planned total area of all stages is 100 ha. Upon reaching its design capacity, the complex will produce from 50 to 100 thousand tons of vegetables per year. After the implementation of all stages of construction, the enterprise will become the largest modern greenhouse complex for growing vegetables under glass in Russia and provide jobs for about 1,500 people;
  • in the Kursk region - a construction site of the oil extraction plant of Kurskagroterminal LLC in the Kastorensky district, for the power supply of which the power engineers constructed a 10 kV power line as part of an additional service and installed a new 10/0.4 kV transformer substation with a capacity of 630 kVA. The new plant will produce 1 million tons of soybean and sunflower oil, soybean meal and oilcake per year. This is one of the largest investment projects that are being implemented in the region until 2021. Putting the agricultural enterprise into operation will create more than 400 additional jobs in the Kursk region;
  • in the Smolensk region - a feeding site and new areas for the processing shop of LLC Krol and K, the largest Russian full-cycle pedigree industrial complex operating on advanced European technologies in the Gagarinsky district. For this, two 10 kV overhead lines with a total length of 2.4 km were constructed. On the basis of the new feedlot, it is planned to maintain 15.8 thousand heads of the parent and more than 1 thousand heads of the progenitor livestock;
  • in the Bryansk region - a facility for milk production of Krasny Oktyabr LLC in the Starodubsky district, which will receive electricity from the 35 kV “Putevaya” and “Gridenki” substations. The facility is designed for 800 heads of a milking herd, the volume of milk production per day is 20 tons. Its commissioning made it possible to create new jobs and increase the share of products of local producers in the dairy market, helping strengthen the food security of the region;
  • in the Kirov region - a dairy farm of JSC Agrofirm Nemsky, for which the power engineers constructed 14 km of a 10 kV overhead power line. The farm for 3,100 cattle is one of the largest in the Volga Federal District. The total area of all its buildings and structures is about 111 thousand square metres. Considering the high social and industrial importance of the farm under construction, the power engineers completed the construction of power grid facilities more than six months ahead of the schedule stipulated by the terms of the grid connection agreement. The maximum power provided to the facility will be 1,600 kW.
  • in the Ryazan region - a complex of buildings and structures for livestock farming of SPF Ryazan LLC in the village of Voslebovo of the Skopinsky district. The enterprise was provided with connection of electrical installations with a capacity of 1.6 MW. As part of the grid connection of the facility, the power engineers completed the construction of two 6 kV power lines and the reconstruction of power equipment at the 110 kV “Skopin” substation, which will supply the agricultural facility with electricity. The new livestock complex is designed for 6,000 full-cycle sows. Its construction is a large-scale regional investment project, thanks to which the Skopinsky district will receive further socio-economic development, and residents of Skopin will get new jobs. There will be about 130 of them at the enterprise;
  • in the Udmurt Republic - ten agricultural enterprises, farms, and agricultural cooperatives were connected in Izhevsk, the Votkinsky, Sarapulsky, Zavyalovsky, Kezsky, Mozhginsky and Malopurginsky districts of the republic. A calf barn in the village of Uralsky of the Sarapulsky district, a dairy farm in the village of Kukui of the Votkinsky district, and a production base in the settlement of Kez of the Kezsky district, were connected to Udmurtenergo’s grids.
