The MediaTEK-2020 National Competition to take place despite coronavirus

Moscow, 14 May - the Ministry of Energy of Russia invites the media, press services of energy companies and regional administrations to take part in the VI MediaTEK National Competition. The expert council of the competition was again headed by Dmitry Peskov, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation - Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.

“Everything in the world is now in the process of transformation - both international energy markets, and energy itself as an industry. However, many participants in the MediaTEK Competition indicate that our energy sector, this huge sector of our economy, is still systemically important for the whole world,” stressed Dmitry Peskov.

“The MediaTEK Competition has been helping for many years finding the most interesting materials on the activities of the energy industries in the media and awarding the most talented authors,” stressed Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak. “The Competition is actively developing together with the industry: the geography is expanding, the number of participants is increasing, new nominations are appearing. This year, in addition to traditional thematic areas, we expect interesting work on covering the activities of the fuel and energy complex under the conditions of COVID-19, materials on the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 100th anniversary of the GOELRO plan. An important direction in the development of MediaTEK will be the expansion of the participation of municipal newspapers, in connection with this, a new nomination has been introduced - “The Best Regional Newspaper for Reporting Events in the Fuel and Energy Complex”.

The Competition accepts projects and journalistic works published in the media/blogs or implemented from 1 September 2019 to 20 August 2020. The rules for participation, requirements for the application and criteria for evaluating the work are specified in the Regulation on the competition and the Appendices on the website of the Competition at медиатэк.рф and on the website of the Ministry of Energy of Russia in the section “Press Centre”/ MEDIATEK Competition.
