On 17 April, Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, heard a report via video conferencing of Director of the Voronezhenergo branch Vyacheslav Antonov on the results of the implementation of the schedule of organizational and technical measures for the phased expansion of the operational functions of Voronezhenergo’s Grid Control Centre (GCC).
The chiefs of the Bobrovsky, Kashirsky, Liskinsky, Rossoshansky and Olkhovatsky Distribution Zones reported on their readiness to transfer dispatch functions to the Grid Control Centre.
Igor Makovskiy accepted the reports and gave permission to the GCC’s dispatchers to accept the operational management of the distribution grids of another five Distribution Zones.
“At the moment, we are successfully completing the second stage of expanding the operational functions of Voronezhenergo’s Grid Control Centre. This is one of the programs included in the concept of digital transformation of the electric grid complex, which Rosseti Centre implements in the region as part of an agreement with the government of the Voronezh region,” stressed Igor Makovskiy.
Remote control of electric grids from a single centre using intelligent information collection and processing systems made it possible for the power engineers to switch to a single-level operational-situational control system and significantly reduce the response time to technological irregularities, which significantly improved the quality and reliability of power supply to consumers.
