General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy and Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergey Sitnikov examined the regional medical institutions

9 April 2020

General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy, during a working visit to the Kostroma region jointly with Governor of the region Sergey Sitnikov, inspected the completion of work on grid connection of the infectious ward of the Galichsky district hospital. Here, the branch’s specialists, as soon as possible, at the request of the authorities, laid a 2.5-km power line with installation of a device for automatically switching to a reserve source to provide a second backup power supply circuit with a maximum power of 30 kW.

Please, be reminded that earlier Head of Rosseti’s Group of Companies Pavel Livinskiy gave instructions to take special control of the functioning of the entire electric grid infrastructure, which provides electricity to social facilities and medical facilities in all regions where the subsidiaries are present.

In the Kostroma region, on the basis of the decision of the regional operational headquarters to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, the formation of additional hospital places with mechanical ventilation devices was organized on the basis of existing medical organizations. In particular, patient wards were created on the basis of three medical institutions in Kostroma, one each in Galich and Sharya.

The power engineers conducted a diagnostic examination of electric grids supplying special medical facilities, and also developed a number of technical measures to provide social facilities with the first category of reliability of power supply.

“Many thanks to the leadership of the regional branch - they mobilized everyone and everything, worked very efficiently and harmoniously. Today, all issues with a continuous supply of electricity have been resolved, and this is an occasion to reward the head. Another task is to preserve the entire staff. People work as a group, as a team, all have families, therefore the most important thing today is to preserve the health of each of them,” stressed Sergey Sitnikov, Governor of the Kostroma Region.

On the territory of the regional hospital of Kostroma District No. 2, an automatic load transfer switch was installed in the main and infectious buildings of the institution. In the building of district hospital No. 1 of Kostroma, planned work is currently underway for the 100% deployment of oxygen supply beds. They may be needed if the number of patients with coronavirus increases. In a separate infectious diseases ward, Kostroma power engineers installed an automatic load transfer switch. The building of the Kostroma Regional Narcological Dispensary already has an automatic load transfer switch, an uninterruptible power supply unit, as well as a 15 kW diesel generator set, which turns on automatically. In the city of Sharya of the Kostroma region, they reconfigured inputs of cable lines to the transformer substation and provided the opportunity to connect the infectious department of the local hospital to a diesel generator set for its uninterrupted operation.

“All these measures will ensure the interrupted power supply of mechanical ventilation devices, the placement of which is planned in these institutions. Ensuring reliable and uninterrupted power supply to medical institutions in all 20 regions of presence of the companies Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region is a key priority of our work. In this way, we contribute to the provision of high-quality medical care, the functioning of life support systems, which today largely determine how quickly the disease can be overcome,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.

Please, be reminded that in general, in 20 regions where the companies operate, more than 200 infectious diseases hospitals and 6,000 other medical institutions are under special control.
