The Rosseti company to ensure the delivery of power to mobile hospitals of the Ministry of Defense of Russia

Hospitals of the Ministry of Defense of Russia are currently being built at a faster pace in various regions of the country. A total of 16 facilities will be built, which will house infectious departments for patients with coronavirus infection. Already from 10 to 15 April, equipment and medical devices will be delivered to the first eight centres and their installation will be completed.

To date, power engineers have already connected six sites in Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Orenburg, Smolensk, Kaliningrad and Rostov-on-Don. In the coming days, work will be completed in the Moscow region and St. Petersburg.

“Rosseti” as soon as possible carry out all the necessary amount of work to provide electricity to the medical facilities. When it comes to people’s health, the count is not even for days, but for hours, so they work ahead of schedule. Power supply of all socially significant infrastructure is under special control today,” stressed Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of Rosseti.

In turn, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Timur Ivanov thanked the staff of the Rosseti company and its Director General Pavel Livinskiy for the completed set of works on connecting the first construction sites of multifunctional medical centres.

“I would like to personally thank the company’s specialists for their high professionalism and prompt response. An hour after our request, the company’s employees arrived at the facility in readiness to begin work,” added Timur Ivanov.

As the military department noted, the constructed capital buildings with a total area of almost 115 thousand square metres will be included in the infrastructure of existing hospitals. At the end of the pandemic, the medical centres designed for 60-100 beds will be able to provide services to both military personnel and the civilian population. Ultrasound and X-ray diagnostic rooms, computed tomography, and others will work in the centres.

Starting 23 March, all over the country, Rosseti, according to the order of the head of the holding, Pavel Livinskiy, took special control of the reliability and uninterrupted power supply of key social infrastructure facilities, primarily medical institutions, centres for receiving citizens’ applications, and facilities providing public services and Internet access. Particular attention is also paid to organizations providing online services to the population, as well as transport and logistics centres.
