Crews of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region continue to restore power supply to consumers in the Tver region, de-energized by the hurricane

13 March 2020

Specialists of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region continue to work on repairing damage to power lines in the Tver region.

At the moment, the power engineers have stabilized the situation in the western districts of the Tver region. Phased reconnection is being performed in the eastern territories of the Upper Volga Region.

At present, 2 overhead lines of 35 kV and 36 overhead lines of 10 kV have been reconnected. There are no de-energized consumers in the main 35-110 kV grid. Nevertheless, adverse weather conditions persist, the atmospheric front is moving across the region, the movement of air masses remains at the peak of its strength. Gusts of the wind reach 30 m/s, which can provoke new breaks on already restored power lines.

A difficult situation persists in the territories of the Kalininsky, Rzhevsky, Zubtsovsky and Staritsky municipalities. Currently, 49 crews continue to work there, at the disposal of which there are 51 specialized vehicles.

In total, at the moment, the devastating consequences of the disaster in the Tver region are being eliminated by 447 power engineers, including involved crews of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.

Work on all sections of damaged power lines will be carried out around the clock until complete restoration of energy supply to consumers. The situation is under the personal control of Director General of Rosseti, Pavel Livinskiy, and Governor Igor Rudenya. The operational headquarters continue to work in the region, consisting of representatives of the company “Rosseti Centre”, Tverenergo branch, regional departments and the General Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Tver region.

Tverenergo asks residents of the region to be careful and comply with safety rules. If a broken wire is found, do not come closer to it than 8-10 metres, and as soon as possible report the danger to your Distribution Zone or to the around the clock direct line of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115 (the call is toll-free) or short number 1350 (for landline phones), as well as by phone +7 (915) 38-000-38 in Telegram and Viber. The indicated phone numbers also provide information on the progress of emergency recovery work and the estimated time for restoring energy supply in your locality.
