On 3 October 2019, as part of the Russian Energy Week - 2019, a working meeting was held between Governor of the Tambov Region Alexander Nikitin and General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy. The parties discussed the development of the electric grid complex of the Tambov region, in particular, increasing the availability of connection to Tambovenergo’s grids, providing energy infrastructure for promising investment projects being implemented.
The head of the company introduced the head of the region with measures taken by Rosseti Centre to improve the reliability of the electric grid complex. He spoke about the plans for the construction and reconstruction of the electric grid infrastructure and the priority areas of activity - the integrated implementation of digital technologies in the electric grid complex of the region. The results of this work should be to ensure observability of 100% transformer substations and automation of 100% of overhead lines of 6 - 10 kV, equipping distribution points with remote control at 100% of. In addition, it is planned to equip all lines of 6-10 kV and transformer substations of 6 - 10/0.4 kV in the Tambov region with smart technical metering devices.
Igor Makovskiy noted: “Conducting the complete reconstruction and modernization of the electric grid complex on the principle of digitalization is one of the strategic objectives of the company. This work should be completed by 2030, and its main result will be reliable power supply to consumers.” Igor Makovskiy assured that Rosseti Centre will make all the necessary efforts to solve this problem.
At the end of the meeting, Alexander Nikitin and Igor Makovskiy expressed their readiness for long-term cooperation in terms of creating favourable conditions for ensuring the socio-economic development of the Tambov region.
