Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the target model for the development of Rosseti until 2030

20 September 2019

As part of the working visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to Izhevsk, Director General of Rosseti Pavel Livinskiy, together with the head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov, presented the head of the state the optimal model for managing the electric grid complex using the example of the Udmurt Republic.

In just one year, technological solutions based on domestic software products were implemented in this subject, which made it possible to significantly increase the reliability and efficiency of power supply, and the consolidation of regional power grid assets based on Rosseti already brought tangible benefits in implementing socially significant projects in the region.

As Pavel Livinskiy noted in the report, due to the consolidation of assets in 2018 - 2020, the consolidated regional budget will receive a total of 3.5 billion rubles, and the growth in annual tax revenues will increase by almost 40%. “But the main thing is that the consumer receives significant improvements - the average duration and frequency of interruptions in power supply are reduced, in fact, by half, and the time for new grid connections - by 1.5 times, from 90 to 60 days,” the head of Rosseti stressed.

Separately, Pavel Livinskiy spoke about the digital transformation of the company, demonstrating the advantages of intelligent operational and technological management using the example of the Izhevsk city control centre, opened the day before.

Pavel Livinskiy also reported on a pilot project for the integration of road, street lighting and architectural and artistic lighting in the region’s electric grid complex, implemented in Izhevsk. “Consumption savings during the implementation of the proposed concession initiative will be 35%, and the cost of maintaining street lighting will decrease by 30% relative to the current,” stressed Pavel Livinskiy.

The head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov emphasized the effectiveness of cooperation with Rosseti. “The proceeds from the sale of electric grids, about 3.3 billion rubles, in Izhevsk and Votkinsk are being used to renovate and reconstructe social facilities. The capital of Udmurtia has become “lighter” due to the integration of road and street lighting. The proceeds from the sale of municipal power grid assets were allocated for the implementation of the “Big Repair” project. Immediate plans are repairs in 251 schools of the republic, in 253 kindergartens, in 217 medical facilities, in 54 cultural centres, in 6 social facilities, in 7 sports facilities, 5 libraries, 3 veterinary institutions, in addition there will be investments in a number of areas. I note that in Izhevsk there is a large concentration of defense enterprises that need a lot of capacities and a digital approach to management for development. The effective work of Rosseti allows us to provide military plants throughout the republic with electricity,” stressed Head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov.

Having familiarized himself with the presented projects of Rosseti’s Group of Companies, Vladimir Putin approved the initiative to scale up the target model for managing the electric grid complex in other constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including the creation of unified grid control centres, city control centres, digital Distribution Zones, consolidation of electric network assets, and city lighting projects. The President of Russia also positively assessed the synergistic effects of the introduction of the target model for managing regional electric grids until 2030.
