Branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region* held ceremonies to close the sixth season of student energy crews. Over 600 students, representing more than 80 higher and secondary special educational institutions, worked at facilities of the electric grid complex of the companies in 20 regions of the country for a month and a half. Compared with last year, the number of participants in the student crews has grown by more than a hundred people. This is due, among other things, to the fact that students from the network of supporting regional secondary vocational educational institutions created by the companies began to be involved in them.
“We are interested in high-quality professional training of future specialists and actively support the movement of student energy crews. As practice shows, this format of cooperation with specialized educational institutions makes it possible to attract active, talented young people who have the future of the energy industry,” stressed General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy.
During the labour shift, the students were able to gain professional skills in processing design and working documentation, installing and repairing power line poles, taking readings of electricity meters, laying and isolating cables, installing power equipment, and had tours of key energy facilities in the regions.
The members of the student crews took part in the competition within the framework of the special league of the International Engineering Championship “Case-in” and in promotions in support of the All-Russian Festival of Energy Saving #TogetherBrighter. In addition, from the very beginning of the labour shift, they were actively involved in the organization and conduct of activities for the prevention of electrical injuries in suburban children’s camps. The guys also showed themselves in sports, participating in sports and friendly football matches, and demonstrated an active citizenship position as part of memorable events in places of military glory, in joint programs in sponsored orphanages.
