Igor Makovskiy: The grid connection of the Skolkovo production site will provide residents of the innovation centre with optimal conditions for the development of science-intensive business and the improvement of domestic technological processes

14 August 2019

Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region has launched a project for grid connection of the “Razvitie” Industrial Park, the Skolkovo production site in the Udmurt Republic. The technopark will become a platform for pilot production of industrial products, an intermediate link between technical development and large-scale production.

The agreement on the creation of an industrial park on the basis of the engineering building of the “Bummash” plant in June this year was signed by the head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Skolkovo Foundation Viktor Vekselberg at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

“We support the emergence of such a major innovation project in the region,” says General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy. “The presence of Skolkovo in the region as a regional operator will allow potential participants to gain access to the best practices and services of the Fund, and the region to increase its investment attractiveness. We will complete the work on grid connection of such a significant facility for the economy of the republic as soon as possible and of impeccable quality.”

The high-tech project is planned to be implemented on the basis of the unused building of the “Bummash” plant. For the commissioning of the facility, the power engineers will construct a powerful two-transformer 10/0.4 kV substation with a total capacity of 800 kVA. Installation of the package transformer substation housing is scheduled for early next week. Two cable lines with a total length of more than 300 metres will also be laid. It is planned to complete the work in the fourth quarter of 2019.
