26 April 2019

In the Tambov region a two-day School of personnel reserve of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region was completed. The event was attended by teams of both companies: 100 specialists of the personnel reserve of the information technology unit from 20 regions of the country.

This year, the actual direction for the power industry was chosen as the theme of the School of personnel reserve: “Digital transformation - development vectors”. One of the central events was the communication session, during which the reservists developed ideas and plans for applying modern technologies in core business processes: cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, neural networks, machine learning, predictive analytics, distributed registries, big data, industrial Internet of things, mobile applications and digital twin. The specialists offered the most diverse, sometimes non-standard solutions that were considered by representatives of the management of IDGC of Centre. Methodical assistance in the performance of tasks to the power engineers was provided by professional business trainers and experts from among the managers of the company’s information technology unit.

In addition to actively discussing digitalization projects, the School’s participants received a business training on communication skills, during which they received the opportunity to improve their professional level and gain new knowledge. By applying these skills in their work, the School’s participants will be able to build high-quality partnerships with functional customers, resolve contentious situations, maintain positive relationships and effectively promote their ideas and suggestions.

The participants of the School, commenting on the results, noted the importance of the event in terms of replenishing the baggage of professional knowledge and skills.

“The organization of the School was at a high level, the trainings were very interesting and exciting. We will try to implement it all in life and bring ideas of digitalization and communication to our colleagues as much as possible,” shared Ivan Shmanichev, the leading engineer of dispatch and technological management and information technologies of a branch of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region - Ivenergo.

“Our team really enjoyed these two days: on the first day, we had training in interaction between colleagues from different regions. We studied various technologies that are an integral part of digitalization of the electric grid complex. On the second day, we had psychological relief: we studied methods of depreciation of emotional pressure, interception and retention of the initiative in the dialogue, as well as techniques of argumentation and work with objections,” said the head of the automated systems operation section of the dispatch office of a branch of IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo Alexander Panfilov.

“We are trying to immerse our colleagues in the digital transformation program as much as possible. Now, experts have many questions that we want to make out so that they have an understanding of the upcoming digitalization process. I hope that after the passage of the School, the reservists will have a strong impulse for self-development. We have identified specialists who can bring the digital transformation program to their colleagues in a structured and understandable way. It is very pleasant that there are specialists in our team, with whom I would like to continue to work productively in the areas of digitalization,” summed up Marianna Belyuchenko, the head of the IT systems development and implementation section of the Department of corporate and technological automated control systems of IDGC of Centre.

In the age of information technology, employees of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region try to keep up with the times, because this is a huge team of like-minded people and professionals united by an important and very responsible task - to give light to people!
