Power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region actively prepare to participate in the festival #TogetherBrighter-2019

IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region (included in ROSSETI’s Group of Companies) annually support the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Energy aimed at educating the younger generation about respect for energy resources and the environment, and are actively involved in the activities of the Energy Saving Festival #TogetherBrighter (#VmesteYarche).

This year, the official start of the festival was announced by the Ministry of Energy of Russia on 15 March. The festival is traditionally devoted to issues of energy conservation and promotion of professions of the fuel and energy complex (FEC). In 2019, additional emphasis will be placed on the 100th anniversary of the GOELRO plan.

The main events of the fourth festival #TogetherBrighter will traditionally be held in the autumn in the format of large-scale holidays for the whole family, energy saving lessons and open doors at facilities of fuel and energy companies. Exciting events are planned in all regions of presence of the power companies IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region in September and October 2019. Guests of the festival will have quizzes, races and exhibitions of modern energy-efficient equipment. Please, note that the first wave of the festival will be held in the regions in the summer. The energy companies plan to participate in traditional events: thematic lessons, competitions of creative works and implementation of completely new projects.

Power engineers will visit school camps and country playgrounds of children’s health camps on the territory of the regions where the companies operate. In collaboration with young members of students’ construction crews will conduct educational and recreational activities for children of different ages. To date, negotiations are underway on the choice of country sites and the concept of events is being developed.

“The festival not only teaches children to be rational and economical in relation to electric power and reminds adults of the value and importance of preserving resources and environmental cleanliness of our planet, but is also a real family holiday,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region.

The All-Russian Energy Saving Festival #TogetherBrighter is being held with the support of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Russian Schoolchildren Movement, the State Corporation “Housing and Public Utilities Reform Foundation”, municipal authorities, business, public and educational organizations. The partner in the organization of the festival is traditionally PJSC ROSSETI.

In 2018, #TogetherBrighter social campaign events were held in 76 regions of Russia, including 1,500 municipalities and urban districts of the country. About 3,500,000 schoolchildren became participants in the festival program.

Summing up the All-Russian Festival is scheduled for 5 October 2019 in the framework of the youth day #TogetherBrighter at the site of the International Forum "Russian Energy Week" in Moscow.
