IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region on the weekends and holidays will strengthen control over the operation of the power system. In the period from 08 to 11 March, IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region (included in ROSSETI’s Group of Companies) will operate in an enhanced mode. Specialists of the two companies will provide round-the-clock control over the operation of the power grid.

To ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers, the companies took all necessary measures. A duty of dispatching and technical services, employees of operational and maintenance crews, duty specialists of substations of branches and managers was organized.

In order to avoid consumer disconnection on the holidays, the most reliable power supply scheme will be maintained: all types of work on existing equipment of power grid facilities, except for restoration works, for which off-road vehicles, tools, materials and protective equipment have been prepared, are suspended.

In advance, on the eve of the holidays, in order to prevent situations of de-energizing consumers, the experts of both power companies checked the technical condition of the equipment and emergency control equipment, the presence of an emergency supply of materials, and the availability of backup power supply sources. In addition, supplementary measures were taken to enhance fire safety, an inspection of the fire condition of industrial and domestic premises, auxiliary and ancillary buildings and structures, mobile repair shops and crew vehicles was carried out.

For quick elimination of technological violations, in case of their occurrence, the operation of the power systems of 20 regions of operational responsibility of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region a communication scheme and a procedure for interaction with the EMERCOM’s services, territorial divisions of Rostechnadzor, the executive authorities and local governments, operating companies of PJSC ROSSETI, other territorial electric grid organizations was developed. The operational readiness of all communications and dispatching process control systems was checked.

If necessary, 2,903 crews consisting of more than 12,760 people, 4,331 automotive and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contractors, can be involved in the elimination of technological violations in all branches of the power companies. They have at their disposal about 1,937 backup power supply sources with a total installed capacity of about 59.1 MW, which can be used to temporarily supply power.
