General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy and General Director of Yantareergo Kirill Yutkin, during their working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan visited OJSC “Grid Company” that manages the regional grid complex.
The heads of the energy companies visited the Grid Control Centre, where they got acquainted with the system of operational and technological management of the republic’s grid facilities. It is worth noting that “Grid Company” is the only territorial grid company in Russia that owns electric grid infrastructure facilities with voltage levels from 0.4 kV to 500 kV, and therefore its management experience can be called unique, in turn, Yantarenergo owns facilities from 0.4 kV to 330 kV.
In addition, Igor Makovskiy and Kirill Yutkin were presented with projects implemented in OJSC “Grid Company” to implement automation and digitalization elements of the grid. In particular, the transition to a two-tier system of operational and technological management of power grids in the branches of Kazan and Naberezhnye-Chelny, as well as a large-scale grid intellectualization program, involving the installation of 130,000 smart metering devices in 29 districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Following the visit, Igor Makovskiy and Kirill Yutkin discussed with the management of OJSC “Grid Company” cooperation prospects in terms of sharing experience in implementing advanced digital solutions and technologies.
“This working visit was productive. OJSC “Grid Company” has a unique experience in managing grid facilities of all voltage classes within a single model. It has one of the lowest indicators of electric power losses among companies of the electric grid complex - and we certainly were interested in finding out with what tools it was able to achieve. In addition, the Republic of Tatarstan borders on several regions of our operational responsibility at once - and this makes the issue of interaction with OJSC “Grid Company” relevant for elimination of technological violations. I am confident that our cooperation should develop,” emphasized General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy.
