On Tuesday, 11 December, General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy worked in the Tambov region, where he checked the operation of the power grid complex and production units of the branch “Tambovenergo”.
The head of the company visited facilities of Petrovsky Distribution Zone, familiarizing himself with the work of the operating staff. The next point of the visit was Tambovsky Distribution Zone, whose service area is Tambov and Tambovsky district. The service area of Tambovsky Distribution Zone is 2,600 square kilometres with a population of 103,147 people, the main consumers are the largest enterprises in the region - Tambov Bacon LLC, Russian Railways LLC, JSC Tander Distribution Centre Magnit, a meat processing shop of Auchan. The head of the company got acquainted with the operation of the Distribution Zone, inspected central warehouses and checked the availability of an emergency stock of materials and equipment.
In the executive office, Igor Makovskiy checked the work of Tambovenergo’s Customer Service Centre and Grid Control Centre (GCC). Having studied the technological and software equipment of dispatchers' workplaces of the GCC, he discussed with specialists issues of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of management. The head of the company listened to proposals of the branch “Tambovenergo” to create a single grid control centre, which would include the 35-110 kV Grid Control Centre and the Single Control Centre for Distribution Grids of 35kV and below. This scheme assumes the centralized operational and technological management of the entire power grid complex and the maintenance of reference and emergency response work from a single dispatch centre. Director General approved the overall concept and made a number of constructive suggestions. The discussion of the concept continued during an extended meeting with the leadership of the branch “Tambovenergo” and the chiefs of the Distribution Zones, which Igor Makovskiy conducted following his working trip.
