11 December 2018

General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy assessed the state and prospects of development of Lipetskenergo’s power grid complex, visited Distribution Zones and large substations in the region.

The head of the company inspected the work of the 110/6 kV substations “Privokzalnaya” and “Manezhnaya”, with a capacity of 40 MVA. The latter was commissioned in 2010, provides electricity to about 4 thousand people of the city of Lipetsk. The power facility is equipped with the latest electrical equipment, digital systems of relay protection and automation, as well as an automated process control system.

In the executive office of the Lipetsk branch, General Director familiarized himself with the work of dispatchers of the situational-analytical centre, whose task is to ensure the effective functioning of all organizations and departments involved in the external power supply circuits of IDGC of Centre. And also, if necessary, the coordination of actions for prevention, prompt elimination of emergency situations and restoration of power supply to consumers.

Igor Makovskiy checked the work of the Lipetsk Grid Control Centre, where all information on the status of the branch’s grids is collected, and remote monitoring and analysis of all processes in distribution grids is carried out. Information on the state of the power grid complex is displayed in real time on the dispatcher panel, which is a video wall. The Grid Control Centre’s equipment allows not only to conduct detailed video surveillance of Lipetskenergo’s power facilities, but also to track the deployment of first responding mobile crews, record telephone conversations of dispatchers.

Igor Makovskiy also held an extended meeting with the leadership of the branch “Lipetskenergo”. One of the main issues was the discussion of reducing the failure rate of individual areas of electric grids and optimization of losses.

“As a cumulative resource, you have the opportunity to be one of the leaders. But for this, the branch must come to loss indicators in the distribution grid of less than 7%. It is necessary to revise all circuits. Make them updated. Every feeder needs to be digitized,” this task was set before Lipetskenergo by General Director of IDGC of Centre Igor Makovskiy.

The head of the company also visited the museum of the Lipetsk branch. Several dozen exhibits tell about the formation and development of the region’s power grid complex. It also keeps the history of labour dynasties of Lipetskenergo, the total seniority of the oldest is 140 years.
