Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev discussed with General Director of IDGC of Centre Igor Makovskiy issues of modernization and improving the reliability of operation of the regional power grid complex

7 December 2018

Today, 7 December, Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev held a working meeting in the sidelines of the forum “Electric Grids” in Moscow with General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, Igor Makovskiy.

The head of the Company acquainted the head of the region with measures taken by IDGC of Centre to improve the reliability of operation of the power grid complex of the Voronezh region. In particular, he spoke about the company’s plans for construction and reconstruction of electric grid infrastructure to eliminate risks of reducing the quality of electricity supply to consumers in the region. Also, among the priority areas of IDGC of Centre’s activities aimed at solving this problem is integrated implementation of digital technologies in the electric grid complex of the region. The result of this work should be to ensure the observability of 100% of transformer substations and the automation of 100% of 6-10 kV overhead lines, equipping telemechanics at 100% of distribution points. In addition, all the 6 and 10 kV lines and 6-10/0.4 kV transformer substations of Voronezhenergo are planned to be equipped with intelligent technical metering devices.

Significant assistance in the implementation of all these plans can be provided by signing between the Voronezh region and IDGC of Centre of a regulatory agreement fixing the long-term parameters of tariff regulation for the grid company in the region. This will allow IDGC of Centre to form a sufficient level of its own sources of financing investment programs.

Also, during the working meeting, Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev and General Director of IDGC of Centre Igor Makovskiy discussed the prospects for cooperation in the framework of improving the reliability of electricity supply in Pridonsky and Volensky energy centres. In addition, issues of consolidation of the regional power grid complex were touched upon.
