On the 27th Pentecost, Commemoration Day of St. Philaret, Metropolitan of Moscow, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.
General Director of IDGC of Centre Igor Makovskiy was present at the service. After the service, the Patriarch talked with Igor Makovskiy and blessed him and the whole team of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region for righteous deeds.
The Patriarchal Divine Service in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour became the central event of the celebrations dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Society of Friends of Mercy. Before entering the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, stands were placed with information about the Orthodox service of help “Mercy” and distribution of leaflets with basic texts of the service and chants for public singing was organized, galleries were equipped with donation sites and enrolment into the Friends of Mercy.
