On 26 November 2018, a working meeting was held in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin between Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin and General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy.
During the meeting, prospects for development of the electric power industry in the region were discussed. It was noted that between the leadership of the Nizhny Novgorod region and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region there were constructive relationships that allow implementing projects of various levels.
“I am confident that our positive cooperation with IDGC and the parent company ROSSETI will only strengthen and develop,” stressed Gleb Nikitin. “We previously reached agreements on a serious increase in the investment program. I expect that it will be implemented in time and will help the development of the regional economy. In particular, this concerns the development of such a direction as “smart grids”. It is necessary to continue the work on the development of this pilot area in the Nizhny Novgorod region,” added Gleb Nikitin.
“Our main tasks are, firstly, to ensure reliable energy supply, and, secondly, to promote the socio-economic development of the territory. I am sure that our cooperation with the regional government to solve these tasks will be strengthened,” noted Igor Makovskiy.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed readiness for long-term cooperation in improving the investment climate in the region, developing the business and providing comfort for the region’s population.
