Head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov and General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy held a working meeting in Izhevsk

8 November 2018

The Head of Udmurtia thanked power engineers for their daily well-coordinated work, the successful implementation of projects to improve the reliability of electricity supply and the development of the regional power grid complex. Alexander Brechalov noted that Udmurtenergo is the largest electric grid organization in the republic, cooperation with which is very important for the regional government.

“The special role of the energy company is given in terms of ensuring the availability of grid connection, which has a positive effect on increasing the investment attractiveness of the region and creating favourable conditions for further socio-economic development of Udmurtia,” Alexander Brechalov emphasized. “The company has outlined a number of measures for the modernization of electric grid facilities, digitalization of grids, and the consolidation of power grid assets. We expect that they will be implemented on time.”

In turn, Igor Makovskiy told the Head about the company’s plans in terms of the development of digital infrastructure of electric grid facilities. Modernization of the electric grid complex in the region will allow increasing the efficiency of its operation, reducing costs and, as a result, will create opportunities for the formation of optimal long-term tariff setting mechanisms for all categories of consumers.

Please, be reminded that in May of this year, the Udmurt Republic supported the plans of ROSSETI on digitization of the regional power grid complex. Within the framework of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, Director General of PJSC ROSSETI Pavel Livinskiy and the Head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of modernization and development of the regional electric grid complex taking into account the implementation of the concept “Digital Grid”. The parties agreed to cooperate in order to meet the existing and growing needs of manufacture, the agro-industrial complex, housing and communal services, small businesses and residents of the Udmurt Republic.

According to the parties, the joint efforts in the development of the electric grid complex of Udmurtia will ensure reliable, high-quality and affordable electricity, thereby increasing the investment potential of the region.
