IDGC of Centre spent over 13 million rubles on the implementation of the environmental policy program for half a year

IDGC of Centre summed up the results of the implementation of the Environmental Policy Program for the first half of 2018. Total costs for 6 months amounted to 13.519 million rubles.

The costs of implementing measures for the safe management of waste amounted to 5.104 million rubles. During this period, 19 demercurization kits intended for the elimination of mercury contamination were purchased. Work continued on the arrangement of sites for accumulation of waste and transfer of production and consumption wastes to specialized organizations for disposal, neutralization, burial. For 6 months, 49 managers and specialists of IDGC of Centre were trained in environmental safety programs, including in the field of hazardous waste management.

To implement measures for the protection and rational use of water resources 3.916 million rubles were allocated in the first half of 2018. In branches of IDGC of Centre, there is periodic monitoring of compliance with the maximum permissible concentrations of harmful impurities in discharges into domestic and storm sewers. Active work on the improvement and planting of greenery of enterprises continued.

Much attention is paid in the Program to technical measures for replacement of oil circuit breakers with vacuum and gas-insulated ones, which, unlike oil-filled equipment, possess a high degree of reliability, are also fireproof and environmentally friendly.

A special place is taken by measures to protect birds. To prevent electric shock of birds, during the first half of the year the company purchased 3,372 units of special bird protection devices that were installed on power line poles.
