A special operating mode introduced in the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre

17 December 2017

In connection with the forecast deterioration of weather conditions, a special mode of operation has been introduced in IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division, which means full mobilization of forces and resources of power engineers.

At present, a cyclone is passing through the territory of the Tver region, which is accompanied by a transition of air temperature from positive to negative values, which leads to formation of a strong ice sheet on power transmission lines and can provoke their breakages.

The situation is under the control of power engineers of Tverenergo. The grid control centre of the branch conducts constant monitoring of the situation. Local outages are eliminated at the request of consumers.

In order to minimize the negative effects of bad weather, in the event that the icing of wires provokes massive violations in the power grid complex of the Upper Volga Region, by the decision of the management of IDGC of Centre, fifteen crews from Yarenergo and Smolenskenergo have been transferred to the Tver region. Already in the morning, in case of need, the seconded power engineers will be ready to start emergency recovery work.

Tverenergo asks residents to provide assistance and report on power outages by calling the direct line of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115. The call is toll-free.
