Lipetsk power engineers of IDGC of Centre took part in the opening of a new site for energy saving and increasing the energy efficiency of the Lipetsk region

12 September within the framework of the All-Russian Festival #VmesterYarche, the Lipetsk Regional Youth Library hosted a meeting of students and teachers of the Lipetsk Machine-Building, Trade and Technological Technical Schools with representatives of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division and employees of the Energy and Tariffs Department of the Lipetsk Region. The meeting was organized with the purpose of popularizing among the youth the culture of careful attitude to consumed energy resources for the preservation of the environment, both at the domestic and industrial levels.

A representative of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division - A.V. Chebotar acquainted the students with the rules of energy saving and electrical safety in educational buildings, at home and in the street, demonstrated a video on the topic of safe and economical attitude to electricity. He also told the participants of the site about the need to observe the rules of behaviour near energy facilities.

Deputy Head of the Energy Saving Section of the Energy and Tariffs Department of the Lipetsk Region A.I. Borovskikh in the presentation "Lipetsk. In the trend - energy efficiency" paid special attention to the use of renewable energy sources on the territory of the region, the transition of indoor and outdoor lighting of public and residential buildings to LED lamps and lighting fixtures, the development of infrastructure for clean vehicles operating on compressed gas, infrastructure for electric vehicles.

"In our region, similar meetings with students and schoolchildren have been held for many years and have become traditional. Conducting classes on energy saving in the educational institutions of the Lipetsk region should contribute to solving one of the main tasks of the school, which was put by the head of the region Oleg Korolev - to educate a reasonable consumer of resources and a house owner. The transition to new energy-efficient technologies allows not only reducing energy consumption, but also improving the quality of life of citizens," stressed an engineer of the 1st category of the administrative and economic group of Lipetsky Distribution Zone Andrey Chebotar.
