1,260 crews of power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, consisting of 4,448 people and 1,798 vehicles, will be on duty in the regions of the companies’ service area and ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply of polling stations on the Single Voting Day on 10 September 2017.
On the territory of responsibility of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region (20 regions of Russia with a population of more than 26 million people), voting will take place at 8,826 polling stations. Of these, 6,603 are connected directly to networks of the companies, and 2,223 are connected through networks of territorial grid companies.
To ensure uninterrupted and reliable operation of power grid equipment, a special operating mode will be established in all branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre from 00:00 on 9 September. In all the territories where the elections are held, all planned repair work and associated switching in existing electrical installations will be cancelled.
A round-the-clock duty of repair and first responding mobile crews, technical managers and specialists in the workplace is organized on the Single Voting Day. Schedules of the duty of the personnel of the companies are made taking into account the possibility of personal voting at the polling stations for each of the specialists. In addition, the power engineers of IDGC of Centre, if necessary, are ready to assist adjacent grid companies in the event of emergencies in their service areas.
