IDGC of Centre in the Lipetsk region connected a large enterprise of the agro-industrial complex to the grid

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division connected the first stage of a plant for shock freezing of berries of LLC "Fragaria" in Usmansky district of the Lipetsk region to the power grid. The work was completed on 30 August.

The plant, whose planned capacity is 8 thousand tons of berries and fruits per year, will become one of the largest in Russia. Its total area is 11 thousand m2, the production capacity will be placed directly on the fields where berries are grown, which will freeze them within an hour after harvesting. The first stage of the plant, on which four freezing chambers are located, will begin operation on 20 September 2017.

The second stage of the enterprise, which will include a processing plant for berries and fruits, four production lines and three freezers, is scheduled to be launched in two years. This will allow to provide jobs for more than 120 residents of Usmansky district. As LLC "Fragaria" noted, the plant’s products will be delivered to various parts of the country, from Kaliningrad to Novosibirsk.
