Power engineers of IDGC of Centre work in the mode of extreme mobilization in connection with the forecasted bad weather

According to the Hydrometcentre of Russia, in the coming days in a number of regions of Central Russia, weather conditions are forecast to deteriorate: wind increase to 23 m/s, rain showers, thunderstorms, isolated hail. In particular, bad weather will affect the Bryansk, Lipetsk, Orel, Voronezh, Kursk, Tver and Tambov regions, located in the service area of ​​ IDGC of Centre. The energy company has mobilized and is ready to eliminate consequences of possible technological violations.

The high alert mode has already been introduced in the branches of Bryanskenergo and Lipetskenergo. There were meetings of operational headquarters under the leadership of enterprise managers, at which a number of organizational decisions were adopted. A special control over the operation of power facilities has been established. An information exchange has been organized with the territorial subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and executive authorities. Operational and repair personnel have been mobilized. All crews are equipped with necessary tools, adaptations, overalls, are provided with high-speed specialized vehicles, prepared for round-the-clock operation in any conditions.

If necessary, the high alert mode will be promptly introduced in other branches. At present, in case of weather deterioration, a set of preventive measures is being implemented there. A continuous monitoring of the meteorological situation is being carried out, control over facilities of the electric grid infrastructure has also been strengthened and clear information interaction with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, regional and local authorities has been ensured.

The operational staff is in full readiness. In case of need, 1,647 crews consisting of 8,378 people, 3,200 automobile and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contractors can be involved in the liquidation of technological violations in all branches of IDGC of Centre. Also at their disposal there are more than 400 standby power supply sources with a total installed capacity of about 17 MW, which can be used for temporary supply of power, primarily to socially important facilities in the regions.
