Power engineers of IDGC of Centre restored power supply of the Tver region

6 August 2017

The main power grid complex that directly influences the energy supply of consumers of the Tver region was put into operation after the damage caused by the two hurricanes that struck the Upper Volga Region during the last four days. Simultaneously with this, IDGC of Centre’s power engineers continue emergency repairs of the sections of the grids isolated from the regular power supply circuit.

The situation is under special control of the management of PJSC Rosseti and the operational headquarters of IDGC of Centre and the personal control of the head of the region Igor Rudenya.

About three thousand consumers of the Tver region on the morning of 6 August remain energized from 65 reserve sources of electricity, and a part - with temporary circuits of energy supply. After a particular section of the grid is restored and put into operation, the reserve sources of electricity are promptly moved to places where the need arises.

As far as switching from the reserve circuits to the regular ones, local controlled power outages are possible. This is due to objective technical reasons, as well as ensuring the safety of production on the faulty sections of power lines. At the same time, there is not a single settlement with a population of more than 100 people, which in the event of an outage is completely de-energized. A street or individual houses can be without electricity for a limited amount of time.

Together with the EMERCOM of Russia in the Tver region, work is continuing on clearing tree debris on power lines, as well as on access roads to them. The rescuers render great assistance to the power engineers in identifying consumers who are connected to de-energized electrical grids that are not under the direct control of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre, but belong to gardening organizations, territorial grid organizations and other owners.

In general, the main grid of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division is functioning satisfactorily, work is underway on individual applications in 0.4 kV networks, to which the power engineers react promptly. The company asks to report on facts of interruptions in power supply over the phone to the 24-hour "direct line" of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115. The call is toll-free.
