IDGC of Centre assists in the implementation of the state program of the Voronezh region on the development of telecommunications infrastructure

Specialists of IDGC of Centre – Voronezhenergo division have begun to connect base stations of cellular communication to electric grids, which are being built by telecommunication companies to expand the wireless communication network in the region. The work is carried out within the framework of the execution of the state program of the Voronezh region "Information Society", whose goal is to develop infrastructure to provide access to socially significant information for the population. The new stations will expand the wireless network in areas with low population density or difficult terrain.

In total, the power engineers will connect 20 new base stations to the grids in Kalacheevsky, Kantemirovsky, Talovsky, Bogucharsky, Rossoshansky, Petropavlovsky and Novokhopersky districts. To do this, they are designing and constructing new and extending existing 0.4 kV power lines. Completion of work on the grid connection of telecommunications equipment is planned until the end of 2017.
