Power engineers of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre to struggle with losses of electric energy together with local authorities

25 April 2017

The meeting of deputies of the Burashevsky rural settlement in Kalininsky district of the Tver region approved the Regulations on interaction of the branch of IDGC of Centre "Tverenergo" and local authorities in identifying and suppressing the theft of electric energy. This is the first experience in the region of cooperation between power engineers and government officials in the fight against non-contractual and non-metered electricity consumption.

Legal basis of the Regulations on interaction are defined by the current legislation of the Russian Federation. To ensure interaction between the local authorities of the rural settlement and power engineers of Tverenergo, an energy inspectorate is being created on the territory of the Burashevsky rural settlement, which, along with representatives of the administration of the rural settlement and its residents, includes specialists from the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre.

"The energy inspectorate is formed to organize raids to identify facts of theft of electricity, audits and marking of consumer meters, monitoring compliance with energy consumption modes and the quality of electricity supplied. If necessary, law enforcement officers will be involved in the work of the energy inspectorate," commented Vadim Yurchenko, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division director. "We are grateful to the administration of the Burashevsky rural settlement for their clear position, which expresses intolerance to energy theft and an understanding of what damage the theft of electric energy causes to power grid facilities."

The head of the branch explained: fighting against losses of electric energy is in the common interest. He noted that non-contractual and non-metered consumption of electric energy not only negatively affects the quality of electric energy, but also significantly limits reserves of available capacities at feeding centres of Tverenergo, depriving territories of opportunities for economic growth.

The Tver branch of IDGC of Centre urges consumers to pay attention to facts of non-metered and non-contractual electricity consumption and to report them in time to the power grid company by calling IDGC of Centre’s hotline at 8-800-50-50-115, Tverenergo’s trust line at 8(961)144-84-84 or on a separate mailbox vorunet@mrsk-1.ru
