IDGC of Centre due to bad weather mobilized forces and means in the regions of the Central Federal District

Due to the sharp deterioration of weather conditions (abundant rain and sleet, strong wind), Head of IDGC of Centre’s Crisis Management Centre, First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin decided to introduce a high alert mode in all branches of the company.

In each of the branches (operating in 11 regions of the Central Federal District), crisis management centres have been set up, headed by their directors. Special control over the operation of power facilities has been established, the planned repair work has been stopped or minimized. Information exchange has been organized with territorial divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and executive authorities, MES of Centre, Federal Grid Company, territorial electric grid companies.

At present, power engineers are taking a set of preventive measures aimed at avoiding negative consequences of the bad weather. At the round-the-clock duty there are 540 first responding mobile crews, 90 repair crews of increased mobility of 530 people and 166 vehicles are ready for emergency recovery work. In case of need, 1,647 crews, 8,378 people, 3,200 automobile and special vehicles, as well as resources of contract organizations can be brought to the territory of the Company to eliminate technological violations.
