IDGC of Centre is taking part in the "Immortal Regiment" action

9 May 2016

Employees of IDGC of Centre supported the All-Russian action "Immortal Regiment" on 9 May.

The power engineers with photographs of relatives, who took part in World War II, went with them at the "Parade of Winners". Columns of participants marched through the main streets of the cities, the 11 regions of the Central Federal District within the service area of IDGC of Centre, and joined the solemn festivities.

IDGC of Centre pays special attention to military-patriotic education of young people and preservation of the memory of those, who died in the Great Patriotic War. So this year, the company implemented the large-scale video project "Power engineers read a book about the war", shot on the basis of the famous poem by Aleksandr Tvardovsky "Vasili Tyorkin". The chapters of what has already become a classic product were recited by employees of the branches and the executive office of IDGC of Centre. A year ago, the project "The Story of a Feat" started - anyone on the site with the same name could share the story of his close person involved in the war, or in the rear, and thereby make public the previously unknown information to the general audience.

According to the company’s management the military-patriotic education of the youth is a necessity, as the current generation lives in peacetime largely due to the bravery and courage of millions of soldiers and home front workers, who bore the brunt of the Great Patriotic War. They carried out an unprecedented feat in the name of the bright future of our country. And our task is to keep the memory of this.
