IDGC of Centre performed grid connection of a large innovative enterprise in the Kostroma region

IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division completed grid connection of two transformer substations to supply power to a plant for production of drilling rigs "NOV Kostroma" LLC in the city of Volgorechensk. The maximum customer contract demand is 5,381 kW for the new enterprise. Under the agreement with IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division construction of a 10 kV distribution substation, two 10 kV cable lines with their length of 4.6 km each was done, connecting the substation 110/35/10 kV "KPD" with the distribution point. At the upgraded last year 110 kV KPD two additional line cubicles of 10 kV with vacuum circuit breakers were installed, equipped with microprocessor-based relay protection and automation devices.

"The plant "NOV Kostroma" is a new major consumer of electricity connected to the power grid of Kostromaenergo," comments Head of Long-Term Development Department of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division Mikhail Solovyev. "Its connection is significant for our branch, as it will increase the amount of electric power transmission services.

The opening of the plant "NOV Kostroma" is a momentous event not only for the energy company, but also for the whole economy of the Kostroma region. In the region there is a developing company - a world leader in technological innovation in the oil and gas industry. The project has an important socio-economic component, related to the increase in living standards and the welfare of the region. The total volume of investment in the enterprise development amounted to more than 4.2 bln rubles. More than 300 jobs will be created there. The project was included in the regional register of investment projects with the provision of most-favoured treatment.
